Membership Fees, Prices and Details 2008 Sandhill Golf Club is a fully established and accredited Club, which is based at the course and uses its facilities with the full backing of the owners. Season Tickets are only available to members of the Club. The Club is affiliated to the English Golf Union, The Yorkshire Golf Union and the Sheffield Union. Representative teams have been playing from the 1995 season in inter-club matches, including the Sheffield area Scratch League. Members enjoy the following privileges:- Special Advanced Booking Facility (See Below) Discounted Green Fees An Official Handicap, ratified by the Council of National Golf Unions Entry into all the Club competitions (once a handicap has been established) 2008 Prices - Pay & Play Green Fees £17.50 Weekdays £22.50 Weekends and Bank Holidays £13.00 Buggies Per Round Season Tickets - Green Fees (Only available to Club members) 7 Day Season Ticket - £480.00 5 Day Season Ticket - £370.00 Juniors under 18 years - £140.00 AN ADMINISTRATION FEE IS PAYABLE BY NEW 7 AND 5 DAY SEASON TICKET APPLICANTS. 5 DAY TICKET HOLDERS RECEIVE A DISCOUNT OF £4.00 OFF WEEKEND ROUND FEES. Members Club Fees (Please note this fee is for the club membership NOT green fees) Full Member - £40.00 Junior Member - £5.00 Booking System Members can book tee times up to 6 days in advance. Non members can book up to 6 days in advance for weekdays and Saturday and Sunday afternoon BUT only 4 days in advance for Saturday and Sunday mornings. The Captain of the Club for the 2008/2009 season is Mr Peter Cutler. Lady Members Ladies pay exactly the same amount as gentlemen for their Season Tickets and have the same rights of play. This section is going from strength to strength. The Lady captain for the 2008/2009 season is Dr C.Leese. The Ladies play on a regular basis throughout the summer months on a Tuesday evening. They hold competitions on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the year and play in inter competitions with other clubs in the area. Seniors Section We have a very active Seniors Section at the Club who enjoy various competitions throughout the year. Rabbits Section Throughout the season the rabbits play home and away against 7 local teams and several interclub matches, they are members of the Yorkshire Rabbits Golf Association and the Wakefield & District Rabbits Golf Association. Teams from Sandhill play in the competitions organised by these bodies. Tigers Section The Tigers Section has generated a lot of interest. The reason for this is that there are a lot of golfers who fall in between Scratch and Rabbits. Although made very welcome in other sections the 6-17 handicappers have their own section and can play other like minded clubs. There are regular news bulletins posted on the Clubhouse notice boards. Junior Section The Junior Section is organised and run by Mr Mark Fuller. They take part in various inter club competitions and meet on Sunday afternoons throughout the playing season. We have some excellent lads in this section, alas no girls yet. Society Bookings Societies are welcome on the course weekdays and Saturdays and Sundays after 10.30am, however we only take one booking per day at the weekends.
